China, Eastern Han to Jin Dynasties, 3rd to 5th Century AD.
The right is is the out rim of Wu-Zhu coin. The left one is the chiselled rim of the Wu-Zhu coin. The inner portion of a Wu Zhu whose outer portion has gone to make a Thread Ring. The inner portion of the coin removed so as to create two circulating coins. This is illegal in China. But during the War period, these coins can still circulated in the market.
